Our Grade 2 Ballet and Tap class continues to build on the solid foundation established in earlier grades, offering students the opportunity to grow in both technique and confidence. At this level, dancers begin to demonstrate greater control, precision, and musical awareness in their movement.

In Ballet, students refine their posture, turnout, and placement through more challenging barre and centre work. They learn new steps, linking movements into short sequences that develop flow, expression, and artistry. Focus is placed on improving strength, coordination, and the quality of movement while deepening understanding of classical ballet technique.

In Tap, dancers advance their rhythmic skills with more complex patterns, timing exercises, and dynamic footwork. They work on clarity of sound, rhythm accuracy, and expressive performance through lively routines that encourage creativity and confidence.

This class encourages students to develop discipline, musical precision, and performance quality, preparing them for the transition to higher grades and more advanced dance study — all while nurturing a lasting love for dance.
